Africa Easy has an opening for an Africa Travel Specialist to join our small motivated Seattle based team. Part time/flexible hours, mostly working from home and could grow into a Program Manager full time position next year.
We are a small specialized Safari & Tour company based in Seattle, WA and started operating top notch trips to Africa in 2005. Our main focus is tailor-made Safaris for families, friends & small groups to Southern and East Africa.
In addition to planning and booking private Safaris to South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia, Morocco and Uganda, we also plan and book set departure and fully guided Safaris around Africa.
Through our sister company Expedition Easy, we also offer expedition ship trips to Antarctica (and South Georgia!), Galapagos, The Arctic and beyond.
The Africa Travel Specialist position is a part time, entry level position working mostly from home, approx. 4-5 hours daily Mon-Fri and a max of 25 hours a week. Focus being on administrative assistant duties that would include: designing tour & Safari itineraries & proposals, website maintenance, social media posts, newsletter design, email communications and more.
After 3-6 months, this new position could grow into a more Senior, Program Manager position working up to 40 hours a week.
The Program Manager position would include handling all aspects of client files and communications as well as requesting Safari quotes from tour operators world wide and preparing custom designing proposals to send to our clients.
Africa Easy is looking for a dynamic individual with preferably some travel industry experience and a huge passion for travel and trip planning. Needs to be willing and keen to learn all aspects of our small custom design Safari focused business.
Excellent computer, written and spoken communication skills essential for this position as well as being a self-motivated individual who is a pro at jumping in and multi-tasking on a variety of travel related projects.
Word Press & Office programs - Word/Excel expertise a must as well as being able to manage social media pages, Constant Contact and adding itinerates and details to our 2 travel websites.
This is a golden opportunity for a Seattle based professional who is looking to work flexible part time hours and mostly from home. We are hoping to find a Travel Specialist aiming to immerse themselves into the world of travel and keen to plot and plan with us designing custom Safaris to Africa for our VIP guests.
- Travel industry office experience a big plus. - International travel experience essential and must have done at least 1 photo Safari to East or Southern Africa - Excellent computer skills - OFFICE Word/Excel for fully detailed Itineraries - Word Press proficient (to manage our 2 websites). - Work daily in Gmail. 20-25 hrs a week - M-F - min 4 hours each day. - Experience using Constant Contact & Social media - Seattle based with 3 months training in our Seattle office starting Jan 2019.
Additional Salary Information: Starting on $18.00 per hour and up to $20.00 per hour in approx. 3 months
