We are looking for a skilled backcountry guide to join our team. We are located at the Finger Lake Checkpoint along the Iditarod Trail in Alaska. Our busy season is shaping up and we need an additional crew member to join our guide team: We are looking for someone skilled and competent at helicopter-supported river rafting (oar-rowing) and backcountry hiking. Sportfishing is a strong plus. WFR is required. We are an award-winning upscale full-service lodge located along the beautiful Alaska Range. Winterlake Lodge is a remote fly-in lodge in southcentral Alaska. We are seeking an experienced guide and operations manager to oversee our small staff as well as a front-house manager to oversee our kitchen and housekeeping staff. (These two positions do not necessarily need to be a couple but we are accepting couple resumes.) We are a boutique company who cater to upscale sophisticated backcountry travelers. Winterlake Lodge is award-winning for our high level of customer service. We offer helicopter-based excursions into the Alaska Range, float trips, sportfishing (particularly fly-fishing) for salmon and other Pacific species as well as glacier trekking and hiking. We are noted for our cuisine and offer cooking classes, we offer a wellness program including yoga and massage. We have a staff of about 12 people. This is a seasonal, possible year-round position. We are looking for Alaska experience and managers who can participate in our physically active and dynamic program.
